

MUSCAT: The Central Bank of Oman has released a silver commemorative coin to mark “Oman Vision 2040,” showcasing the Sultanate’s aspirations for comprehensive development and a sustainable economy under wise leadership and a forward-looking vision.
The coin features a distinctive design reflecting Oman’s national identity. Its obverse bears the emblem of the Sultanate (the Khanjar), the country’s name, the Central Bank of Oman, the denomination in both Arabic and English, and the year of issue. The reverse displays the “Oman Vision 2040” logo in color, along with elements inspired by the vision’s visual identity.
This initiative is part of the Central Bank’s efforts to commemorate key national milestones and promote awareness of the goals of “Oman Vision 2040,” which serves as a framework for sustainable progress and prosperity.
The commemorative coins are legal tender at their face value and will be available for purchase from the Central Bank of Oman branches in Ruwi, Salalah, and Sohar, as well as through Oman Post’s sales window at Opera Galleria, starting August 18, 2025.— ONA
