Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman’s Foreign Ministry strongly condemned statements by the Israeli Prime Minister regarding what he called “Greater Israel”, and reiterated its categorical rejection of Israel’s illegitimate takeover plans that clearly violate international law and infringe upon the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem as its capital.

In a statement, the ministry stressed that such Gaza'a takeover plan poses a direct threat to regional security and stability, fuels hostility and tensions, and comes at a time when de-escalation and cooperation among countries in the region are needed.

Oman reaffirmed its consistent stance in supporting the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of states, rejecting any schemes aimed at undermining national entities or altering the region’s political geography.

It reiterated its continued commitment to defending the rights of the Palestinian people, foremost their right to establish an independent state on June 4, 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, in line with international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative.

The ministry called on the international community to take a firm position against such aggressive policies, to work towards protecting the rights of the Palestinian people, and to help achieve a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace in the region.
