

SUR: The Governorate of Al Sharqiyah South on Monday signed a cooperation agreement with Oman India Fertiliser Company (OMIFCO) in a bid to support the preparedness of emergency systems.
The agreement seeks to enhance the capabilities of relief systems and raise their operational efficiency, notably by consolidating resilience of institutions and communities in addressing emergencies.
It also aims to develop vital infrastructure and services to ensure their sustainability and groom national competencies that are capable of professionally managing risks. This is in addition to enhancing public-private sector partnerships for supporting national initiatives that have a sustainable impact.
The agreement was signed Dr Yahya bin Badr al Maawali, Governor of Al Sharqiyah South and Chairman of the sub-committee of Oman Charitable Organisation in the governorate, and Shaikh Khalid bin Mohammed al Fannah al Araimi, OMIFCO’s Director of Sustainability and Institutional Communication, in the presence of representatives of Oman Charitable Organisation and officials from the governorate. - ONA
