Muscat: There are 47 international foreign community schools in the Sultante of Oman, catering to 63,974 students with 3,144 teachers during the academic year 2024-25, according to the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) in its annual report.

The international schools have 7,326 students in kindergarten and 5,929 students in grade 1 this academic year 2024-25, compared to 7,799 students in kindergarten and 5,624 in the previous academic year.

Of these, 21 schools are in the capital, with 21 schools, 44,464  students, 2,257 teachers, followed by Dhofar Governorate with 5 schools, 5,848 students, and 257 teachers.

North Al Batinah has six schools with 4,887 students and 256 teachers, while South Al Sharqiyah has 4 schools with 1,771 students and 78 teachers.

Al Wusta has one school with 63 students and six teachers. These schools have 33,085 male students and 30,889 female teachers.  These schools have 33,085 male students and 30,889 female teachers.

2023-24

In comparison, the number of foreign community schools was 46 during the year 2023-24, with 61,704 students and 2,935 teachers. The capital had 21 schools, with 42,753 students and 2,132 teachers.
