

RIYADH: A delegation from the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority on Wednesday visited the Directorate-General of Civil Defence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with the aim of discussing cooperation in the field of civil defence between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom.
The delegation was headed by Maj Gen Sulaiman bin Ali al Husseini, Chairman of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority.
The visit was part of steps to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries, in addition to exchanging expertise and reviewing other matters of common interest in the field of civil defence. The delegation was received by Maj Gen Dr Hamoud bin Suleiman al Faraj, Director-General of Civil Defence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and other officials.
The visit included a field tour of the Saudi Civil Defence Institute. During the visit, the Omani delegation was briefed about specialised training programmes for different levels offered to civil defence personnel. — ONA
