Nearly 13,000 citizens employed in 2025: MoL

The total number of Omanis employed through fresh jobs and replacements in the first half of this year was 12,936, including 2,316 jobs in the public sector and 10,620 jobs in the private sector. 


The Ministry of Labor (MoL) revealed that it met 38 percent of its target for the year. 

The ministry said that the total number of training opportunities linked to replacement and employment was 4,292, with a completion rate of 39 percent. In the government sector, there were 473 opportunities, while in the private sector, there were 3,819 opportunities.

The ministry indicated that the total number of employment and training opportunities reached 17,228, with an achievement rate of 38.28 percent.

The total number of employment opportunities for those who had previously worked was 35,807 jobs, including 17,228 first-time job opportunities, and 18,579 for those who had previously worked.
