Marijuana smuggling foiled again at Salalah airport

The Directorate General of Customs, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Control, foiled an attempt to smuggle 6.5 kilograms of marijuana through Salalah International Airport.

The quantity was seized in the possession of a traveler of Indian nationality, after he hid it within his luggage.

Last week, an attempt to smuggle 11.65 kilograms of marijuana through Salalah International Airport was foiled by the same authorities.  The quantity was seized in the possession of two Indian nationals, who had professionally concealed it within their luggage.
