EA confirms oil spill on Salalah beach

The Environment Authority (EA) said that it is monitoring an oil spill on a beach in the city of Salalah in the Dhofar Governorate. The Authority began field surveys of the affected areas in preparation for the start of clean-up operations in coordination with the relevant authorities.

EA confirmed that it is monitoring the situation in cooperation with the competent authorities, to complete the procedures for verifying the source of these oils, and to take the necessary environmental and regulatory measures in this regard.
