IBRA: The initiative titled 'Our Safe Home' was kicked off on Thursday in the Wilayat of Ibra, Al Sharqiyah North Governorate. The initiative, launched by the Ministry of Social Development across the Sultanate of Oman, aims to enhance family security and build a home environment based on understanding, affection and respect.
The initiative focuses on consolidating positive dialogue and promoting shared values that contribute to establishing a safe and stable environment that supports the psychological and social development of all family members.
The initiative was launched by the Ministry as a means to address modern life challenges facing families, including the impact of social media on family bonds and the value system.
Key objectives of the initiative include highlighting contemporary educational challenges, introducing positive parenting skills and raising the awareness of young people, notably those preparing to get married, so that they could take more informed decisions.
In addition, the initiative aims to help specialists by providing them with early warning signals of psychological and behavioural problems among students.
The overall concept of 'Our Safe Home' initiative is to build more socially-aware and stable families that are capable of facing the challenges of modern time.
