

CAIRO: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Foreign Minister, on Tuesday held a closed bilateral meeting with Dr Badr Abdel Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, within the context of the 16th session of the Omani-Egyptian Joint Committee in Cairo.
During the meeting, they affirmed the close bilateral cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the two countries’ support for strategically developing these relations in various fields, which would deepen the common interests of the two brotherly countries and bring further mutual benefits.
The two ministers also discussed a number of regional issues and developments related to the concerns and interests of the two countries at the political and security levels, stressing the importance of ensuring coordination, convergence of visions, and integration of efforts aimed at tipping the scales of dialogue and diplomacy in addressing various challenges and issues, and containing the causes of conflict and escalation for the good of the entire region. — ONA
