

CAIRO: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Foreign Minister, held a closed bilateral meeting with Dr Badr Abdelaty, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, as part of the 16th session of the Omani-Egyptian Joint Committee in Cairo.
During the meeting, they affirmed the close bilateral cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Arab Republic of Egypt. They also discussed the strategic development of these relations in various fields, aiming to deepen the common interests of the two brotherly countries and bring further mutual benefits.
The two ministers also addressed a number of regional issues and developments related to the concerns and interests of the two countries at the political and security levels. They emphasised the importance of ensuring coordination, convergence of visions and integration of efforts to address various challenges and issues. This includes containing the causes of conflict and escalation for the benefit of the entire region. — ONA
