MUSCAT: As per the Royal directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Foreign Ministry, in coordination with governmental, military, security and civil authorities, successfully facilitated the repatriation of 2,013 individuals, including Omanis and citizens of brotherly and friendly countries, from the Islamic Republic of Iran.
This initiative was undertaken in response to recent exceptional developments in Iran, prioritising the safety and security of Omani citizens and all those involved. The operation was executed with high efficiency through close coordination with relevant authorities.
The repatriation process included comprehensive logistical support, encompassing diplomatic assistance, technical aid and on-ground facilitation.
The Foreign Ministry expressed deep appreciation for the constructive cooperation extended by Iranian authorities and commended the support provided by brotherly and friendly nations, which contributed to the success of this joint humanitarian effort.
Through this operation, the Sultanate of Oman reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to protecting its citizens under all circumstances, upholding the principles of human solidarity and supporting regional and international efforts to safeguard security and stability. - ONA
