Muscat: As per the Royal directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Foreign Ministry, in coordination with governmental, military, security, and civil authorities, has successfully facilitated the repatriation of 2,013 individuals, including Omani nationals and citizens of brotherly and friendly countries, from the Islamic Republic of Iran.
This initiative was undertaken in response to recent exceptional developments in Iran, prioritizing the safety and security of Omani citizens and all those involved. The operation was executed with high efficiency through close coordination with relevant authorities, Omani embassies in Tehran and other allied nations, and the positive cooperation of Iranian officials.
The repatriation process included comprehensive logistical support, encompassing diplomatic assistance, technical aid, and on-ground facilitation, with meticulous follow-up to ensure all individuals returned home safely.
The Foreign Ministry expressed deep appreciation for the constructive cooperation extended by Iranian authorities and commended the support provided by brotherly and friendly nations, which contributed to the success of this joint humanitarian effort.
Through this operation, the Sultanate of Oman reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to protecting its citizens under all circumstances, upholding the principles of human solidarity and supporting regional and international efforts to safeguard security and stability.
