

The Wilayat of Yanqul in Al Dhahirah Governorate experienced moderate to heavy rainfall associated with thunderstorms and hail, on Saturday. The rains were concentrated in the villages of Al Waqbah, Al Arshi, Al Masarra, Biha, Wadi Al Harim, Wal and Al Mu’aidin. The rains, which began three days ago with varying intensity caused wadis to overflow including Wadi Al Mu’aidin, Lamli and Al Arshi.
Heavy to moderate rains were reported on several wilayats in Al Sharqiyah North Governorate.
Rainfall caused the overflowing of wadis in Al Haima, Warid, Waqfiya, Al Khandaq and Al Yahmadi, Al Safalah and Al Alaya.
Moderate to heavy rains were also reported in the Niyabat of Samad Al Shan in the villages of Al Rawdah, Al Wariyah, Al Akhdar, Al Sharia, Wadi Andam as well as parts of the southern villages of the Niyabat. Rainwater descending from mountaintops inundated some wadis in Wadi Andam area and a number of villages in the Wilayat of Nizwa, Al Dakhiliyah Governorate witnessed varying amounts of rainfall which led to the flow of wadis including Wadi Al Rahba.
The rains were reported in the villages of Tanuf, Kummah, Al Rahba, Birkat Al Mouz, Sumait and Al Mudhaibi. — ONA
