Muscat: In light of ongoing regional developments, the Sultanate of Oman continues to intensify efforts to secure the safe return of its citizens from areas affected by escalating tensions.
Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to providing round-the-clock assistance to Omani citizens wishing to return home. He noted that the ministry has allocated dedicated communication lines for citizens in both Muscat and Tehran according to their geographic location, in addition to providing support via the ministry’s official app and WhatsApp platform.
The minister’s remarks came within the framework of continued consultations with his counterparts in brotherly and friendly countries regarding the ongoing Israeli military aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran and its grave security repercussions on the regional scene.
In a statement, Sayyid Badr stressed the importance of intensifying diplomatic and political pressure at the international level to end this unlawful and irresponsible aggression, and to uphold the principles of international law in support of peace, security and stability.
