SHINAS: The Environment Authority in the Al Batinah North Governorate received a report of a blue whale that was swept away in Shinas near Al Duwanij Beach in Shinas.
Specialised teams from the Environment Department in Al Batinah North Governorate handled the incident but they had to put off action awaiting high tide following which the whale was returned to sea on Friday in good condition.
It took the rescue teams of the Environment Department in Al Batinah North Governorate a huge effort to rescue the 8-metre long blue whale and return it to sea. — ONA
