Thirty ‘Fajr Challenge’ initiative winners feted

Thirty winners of the 'Fajr Challenge', an innovative community initiative to encourage children to wake up early and be ready for their daily tasks, were honoured at Jami'a Nur Al-Din Salimi in Al Khuwair. The event was held under the auspices of Shaikh Ismail al Oufi, with Shaikh Ahmed al Muqbali and Maulana Shamshad in attendance.

Titled 'Lighting Hearts Before Sunrise', the 30-day challenge was well-attended by parents, well-wishers and community leaders. The event emphasised the importance of nurturing faith and the value of waking up early in youth.

Organisers of the challenge noted that what began as a small effort to promote spiritual discipline among children has grown into a source of inspiration, reaching and impacting communities.

The Fajr Initiative Volunteer Team expressed gratitude to the families, volunteers and mosque workers who supported the children throughout the challenge. Two young participants, Abdulrahman and Ashar, took the stage to deliver a vote of thanks.

"This celebration is not just a one-time event, but a continuation of the legacy started at Noor Masjid in Darsait, where the Fajr Initiative originated. We organised this event to honour the innocence, discipline and dedication of the young hearts who committed to the Fajr prayer for 30 days," one organiser said.

Shaikh Ismail al Oufi and Shaikh Ahmed al Muqbali reminded everyone that the children were not just winners, but ambassadors of faith. Their dedication to the early morning prayer was a source of pride for their families and a guiding light for their peers.
