Muscat: The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA), represented by its office at the Central Wholesale Market for Fruits and Vegetables (Silal), has intensified its regulatory efforts at the market.

The intensified campaign is part of the Authority’s wider initiative to monitor commercial activity across various sectors in the Sultanate of Oman.

The drive aims to ensure market stability, assess the availability and affordability of goods, and enhance the overall quality of services offered to consumers.

As part of the campaign, CPA teams are conducting on-site inspections to verify the adequacy of supply, monitor pricing, and evaluate product suitability for consumers.

The initiative also includes direct engagement with suppliers and consumers to better understand market conditions and address any concerns.

The Authority affirmed its continued commitment to protecting consumer rights and promoting fair trade practices, especially during peak demand periods.
