Muscat: Rescue teams from the Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority (CDA) were able to locate the body of a missing citizen today in the Wilayat of Taqah, near the Khor Rori beach.
The missing person had gone fishing with his brother last Tuesday before they were reported missing. One of them was found the next day. The rescue effort continued for several days due to high waves, sharp rocky cliffs, and surrounding depressions.
The Royal Oman Police, the Royal Air Force of Oman, the CDA, and a number of citizens participated in the search.
The CDA calls on all fishermen in Dhofar Governorate to exercise caution while fishing and avoid going into the sea, especially during the autumn season, to ensure their safety. It is important to adhere to preventive measures and safety measures.
