Examinations are a crucial stage in students’ lives; they require careful preparation and effective time and task management. Examinations are also one of the most stressful periods students experience during the academic year. This is perhaps because they are the culmination of all the effort they have put into studying and reviewing throughout the academic year. Therefore, this period should pass peacefully so that the student’s psychological state is not negatively affected, which inevitably impacts their ability to comprehend and achieve final results in exams. Mastering study methods is extremely important for maximising the benefit of our knowledge and skills. Therefore, it is important to learn the techniques and strategies that help you make the most of your study hours.

Experts advise against staying up late during exam days, as this does not help with memorising more information. So, start studying before and prepare for it well. Also, they believe that studying the night before an exam is a light review of what the student has previously memorised, while the intense stress of studying in-depth the night before an exam leads to forgetfulness.

The exam period is divided into two phases: the pre-exam phase and the exam phase itself.

Studying for exams is essential. Studying is an essential part of academic success. However, sometimes it’s difficult to find the time to study each subject. One way to ensure study success is to create a solid study schedule. However, creating a study schedule can be more challenging than we think. Not only do you have to prioritise the subjects and materials you need to study within a certain time frame, but you also have to balance other responsibilities such as family, friends and entertainment. Ultimately, with a little thought and a little work, one will have no problem creating a schedule and meeting all your academic goals.By following good strategies, one can improve the effectiveness of your study and achieve your goals. Smart studying requires planning, organisation and perseverance.

Students are also preparing for exams during the upcoming period, amid hot weather coinciding with the start of summer. This may cause students to feel exhausted due to the high temperatures and the effort they exert while studying. A recent study revealed a significant relationship between temperature and students’ performance in the exams they take during their studies.

Students in hot weather may also be more distracted, irritable and find it difficult to concentrate.

Therefore, it is recommended to drink plenty of water, reaching up to three litres throughout the day, eat vegetables and fruits, especially those containing compounds that stimulate brain cells and stimulate memory, eat light meals that prevent feeling heavy, avoid direct exposure to sunlight, a study in a well-ventilated area to reduce high humidity, wear loose, cotton clothing when going out, and avoid the colour black completely, as it is a colour that can affect your mood washing your face and neck with water from time to time will refresh your body.
