MUSCAT: Gymnastics made a vibrant comeback to the Muscat Primary Sports League (MPSL) with an exciting inter-school competition held on May 12 at the PDO School. Sixty girls from six schools across Muscat participated in floor routines across three difficulty levels —Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced.
Participating schools included PDO School, British School Muscat, ABA International School, Royal Flight School, Our Planet International School and Modern International School. The event focused on promoting physical literacy, confidence and school spirit, in line with MPSL’s mission to provide quality sports programmes and encourage fair play.
The competition was made possible with the support of Orion Gymnastics, which developed the competitive framework, offered preparatory workshops and provided expert judges for the event.
“This event was a celebration of confidence, discipline and teamwork,” said Ionela Yammine, Director of Orion Gymnastics. “We’re proud to support the next generation of gymnasts in Muscat.”
With strong performances and enthusiastic participation, the return of gymnastics to the MPSL calendar was a resounding success, setting the stage for further growth in youth gymnastics across Oman.
