Muscat: Oman has expressed deep concern over the escalating military tensions between the Republic of India and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

In an official statement issued by the Foreign Ministry on Wednesday, the Sultanate of Oman called on both neighbouring countries to exercise restraint and prioritise diplomatic solutions.

The ministry urged both parties to open channels for dialogue to defuse tensions and emphasised the importance of giving precedence to political solutions in order to safeguard security and stability.
