

MUSCAT: Maj Gen Hamid bin Ahmed Sakroon, Chairman of the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies (ASDS) received in his office at Bait Al Falaj Camp on Monday Amr Moussa, former secretary-general of the Arab League.
Both sides discussed several matters of mutual interest, notably in academic fields.
The meeting was attended by Brigadier Nasser bin Abdullah al Qutabi, Head of the Centre for Strategic and Defence Studies and Commodore Khalid bin Amer al Salti, Director-General for Studies and Academic Affairs at the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies.
Moreover, the National Defence College (NDC) hosted Amr Moussa, former secretary-general of the Arab League for a dialogue session.
The session touched on topics in the regional and international arenas. It also covered strategic issues in light of regional and international changes and their effects on the Arab Nation in general and the Sultanate of Oman in particular.
Furthermore, the session underscored the Arab League’s constant role in dealing with various types of issues.
The dialogue session was attended by Maj Gen Hamid bin Ahmed Sakroon, Chairman of the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies, Rear Admiral Ali bin Abdullah al Shidi, Commandant of the National Defence College, several senior officers of the Sultan’s Armed Forces, senior retired officers and invitees from the Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Information. — ONA
