

MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman is set to participate in the 2025 Pan Arab Junior and Ladies Golf Championship, scheduled from May 7 to 10 in Cairo, Egypt. This tournament, organised by the Arab Golf Federation in collaboration with the Egyptian Golf Federation, will be held at two premier venues: Madinaty Golf Club and Katameya Dunes Golf Club .
Oman are among the 13 nations confirmed for the championship, alongside Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates and host nation Egypt. Team Oman’s inclusion underscores the country’s commitment to nurturing golf talent and engaging in regional competitions.

The Oman team comprises of the following players in Ladies section: Huwaida al Barwani, Sheikha al Ghaithi and Wafa al Hadhrami.
The Girls U16 team include Miraeri Sampat and Yasmin al Kathiri.
The Boys U13 team include Yusuf al Rumhi and Taimur al Busaidy while the Boys U18 team is represented by Pransh Jagwani.
Board members Ahmed al Jahdhami and Nikhil Sampat will accompany the delegation.
Coinciding with the championship is a 'Golf Festival' at Madinaty Golf Club, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Arab Golf Federation. The festival aims to increase public engagement with golf and will feature performances by The Trick Shot Boys, appearances by international golf education experts, entertainment activities, prize giveaways, and food and beverage options.
