Muscat: To facilitate student mobility and encourage the use of sustainable transportation, Mwasalat signed a cooperation program with the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS) to develop a first- and last-mile service initiative to connect micromobility with public transportation in higher education institutions in Muscat Governorate and Salalah Wilayat.

The initiative aims to connect micromobility, such as electric bicycles and small vehicles, to the public transportation network, to reduce reliance on private vehicles and improve the daily commute experience.

Last year, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT) in cooperation with Knowledge Oasis Muscat launched the 'Smart Mobility Service Using Electric Scooters.
