Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman's Omani population crossed the three million mark on April 23, 2025.
Of the total, 5,291,242, 3,000,283 (56.7%) are Omanis and 2,290,959 (43.30%) are expatriates.
During the period between the end of March 2025 and April 23, there was an increase of 5,070 in Oman's population (of which 3,465 were Omanis and 1,605 expatriates).
Meanwhile, at the end of March 25, with population figures at 5,286,172, Muscat had population of 1,507,918 including 921,559 expatriates, Dhofar 528,885, including 288,966 expatriates, Musandam 55,006, including 18,904 expatriates, Buraimi 136,388 including 58,8660 expatriates, Al Dhakhilyah 559,423 including 154,005 expatriates, North al Batinah 928,895 including 328,921 expatriates, South al Batinah 571,111 including 187,013 expatriates, South al Sharqiyah 380,632 including 123,380 expatriates, North al Sharqiyah 321,040, including 213,617 expatriates, Al Dhahirah 245,001 including 66,573 expatriates, Al Wusta 61,670 including 61,903 expatriates.
At the end of March 2025, 1,814,495 expatriate workers, including 627,062 Bangladeshi, 506,113 Indians, 321,113 Pakistanis, 44,886 Filipinos, 46,802 Egyptians, 23,663 Sri Lankans, 36,601 from Myanmar, 22,343 Sudanese, and 25,342 Tanzanians.
