Muscat: Salalah Club were crowned champions of the Second Division Volleyball League after a well-deserved victory over Taqah Club in the final held at the Sports Hall of the Al Saada Sports Complex on Monday. Naif bin Hamad Fadel, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry branch in Dhofar Governorate, was the chief guest of the evening.
The final match was intense, with both teams delivering a balanced performance in the early stages of each set before Salalah gradually asserted control. In the first set, both sides played cautiously and exchanged points until midway through, but Salalah managed to raise their performance level and closed the set 25–16, capitalising on strong serves and an effective block defence.

The second set was highly competitive, with Taqah showing strong determination to get back into the match and taking an early lead. However, Salalah quickly regained momentum thanks to the harmony between their defensive, middle, and attacking lines, eventually winning the set 25–19 with a series of fast and successful attacks.
In the third set, Salalah entered with confidence and composure, dominating from the outset as Taqah players showed signs of fatigue. Salalah widened the gap as the set progressed and sealed it 25–16, securing the championship with a straight-set victory (3-0) and officially qualifying for the First Division League alongside Taqah Club.

In the third-place match, Sur Club defeated Samayil Club three sets to one. Sur won the first two sets 25–21 and 25–19, before Samayil came back to take the third set 25–16. However, Sur closed out the match by winning the fourth set 25–20, clinching third place and leaving fourth place for Samayil.
Following the final, the guest of honour crowned the winning teams. Salalah Club received the championship shield and gold medals, Taqah Club received the silver medals, and Sur Club took home the bronze medals. The Taqah Club fans association also received the award for Best Fan Club in the league.

The semifinals had witnessed strong competition among the four qualified teams. Taqah had swept Samayil in straight sets, while Salalah defeated Sur by three sets to one, sending both winning teams to the final, where Salalah were deservedly crowned champions.
