

Muscat: Seeb Club secured a valuable victory over Salalah Club with a score of 72-62, while Al Amerat Club succeeded in defeating Nizwa Club 63-57, as part of the 2024–2025 Junior Basketball League Finals. Both matches were held at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher, as part of the league, which follows a three-round format.
The first match was intense and full of excitement, with Seeb managing to overturn an early deficit to defeat Salalah 72-62. Salalah started strong, finishing the first quarter ahead 15-11. However, Seeb regained their momentum in the second quarter, scoring 18 points to Salalah’s 13, ending the first half with a narrow lead of 29-28.
Seeb continued to shine in the third quarter, widening the gap by scoring 20 points compared to Salalah’s 14. In the final quarter, Seeb maintained their lead despite Salalah's comeback attempts, scoring 23 points against Salalah’s 20, resulting in a well-deserved 72-62 victory.
Several Seeb players stood out in the match, notably Azan al Ajmi, Azd al Bahlani, Jad al Kindi, and Omar al Khawas. On the Salalah side, standout performances came from Mishaal Kafkaf, Muhab al Balushi and Haitham Osama.
The match was officiated by a refereeing crew consisting of Ali al Salmani as the first referee, Taha al Amri as the second referee, and Wahab al Sanani as the third referee. Table duties were handled by Umaymah al Hajri, Al Bara al Hashimi and Majid al Akhzami.

WELL-EARNED WIN
In the second game, Al Amerat’s Club achieved a well-earned win over Nizwa Club with a score of 63-57, following a balanced performance and clear dominance in the first half. In the opening quarter, Al Amerat’s led with 17 points to Nizwa’s 13. They continued their dominance in the second quarter, adding 17 more points while Nizwa managed only 8, ending the first half with Al Amerat ahead 34-21.
The third quarter saw a comeback attempt by Nizwa, who scored 17 points compared to Al Amerat’s 11, closing the quarter with Al Amerat still in the lead at 45-38. The final quarter remained competitive, with Nizwa adding 19 points and Al Amerat scoring 18, ultimately sealing the game for Al Amerat with a 6-point margin and a final score of 63-57.
Al Amerat’s victory was powered by standout performances from players like Trevin Player, Mazin al Owaisi, and Muhannad al Batashi. Leading scorers for Nizwa included Adam al Hinai and Mulhim al Obaidani.
The second match was officiated by Mazin al Hilali as the first referee, Thabit al Hinai as the second referee, and Hussein al Owaisi as the third referee. Table officials were Umaymah al Hajri, Aisha al Balushi and Jumaa al Hinai.
