

OSAKA: The Sultanate of Oman underscores its position as a unique investment hub on the global investment map as well as a major tourist destination in the Gulf region.
A number of Omani students in Japan confirmed that the Sultanate of Oman’s participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, Japan, provides multiple opportunities to promote the Sultanate of Oman as a prominent heritage, tourist and investment destination.
The Omani students on scholarship in Japan expressed their happiness and pride in meeting HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth. They also expressed their appreciation for their role in introducing the Sultanate of Oman and taking advantage of the Sultanate of Oman’s participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, Japan, to introduce the Japanese to the Omani unique cultural identity, tourism potential, and investment opportunities in various fields.
The students expressed their willingness to contribute to promoting the country’s tourism potential, distinguished cultural identity, rich cultural heritage and its promising investment opportunities.
Khalid bin Ahmed al Ajmi, an Omani student at the University of Tokyo explained that Expo 2025 Osaka, Japan, is one of the most prominent global events that attracts millions of visitors from around the world, with the number of visitors expected to exceed 28 million. He indicated that the Sultanate of Oman’s participation with a national pavilion in this global event is a very important step as it will have an impact in highlighting the Omani identity and introducing the Sultanate of Oman’s history, culture and investment opportunities.
Al Ajmi added: “HH Sayyid Theyazin’s keenness to meet with the students participating in this global event embodies his interest and sincere commitment to supporting and empowering Omani youth. Our meeting with HH Sayyid Theyazin was an exceptional moment that will remain forever in my memory due to his inspiring words, sincere feelings, and motivational messages that reinforced our sense of belonging and responsibility.” Munthir bin Ahmed al Maamari expressed his happiness over participating in the accompanying evening, which was held at the Osaka Museum of Contemporary Art under the auspices of HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth. He expressed his happiness over their meeting with HH Sayyid Theyazin and exchanging views on the experience of studying artificial intelligence (AI) in Japan, adding that HH Sayyid Theyazin showed great interest in this field, stressing the importance of joint work to build the future of the Sultanate of Oman in its renewed renaissance.
Aisha bint Hamoud al Hashimiyah from Waseda University in Tokyo stressed that the Sultanate of Oman’s participation at Expo 2025 Osaka, Japan, holds a great opportunity to introduce Japanese companies and businessmen to the investment opportunities available in various economic sectors and to introduce the Japanese to the Sultanate of Oman’s cultural identity, customs, and traditions as well as the tourism potential.
Fadwa bint Fahd al Rawahiyah from Hiroshima University said that the Sultanate of Oman’s participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, Japan, is an opportunity to enhance cultural identity and promote investment opportunities through this global event. It also allows the Sultanate of Oman to showcase its rich heritage and ancient history as well as its tourist potential and investment opportunities.
