SUHAR: Eid Al Fitr preparations are in full swing across Al Batinah North Governorate, as thousands flock to festive bazaars set up at seven key locations. Organised by the Al Batinah North Municipality, these bustling markets will continue until the end of Ramadhan, offering a lively hub for Eid shopping.
Engineer Nasser bin Ahmed al Hinai, Director General of Al Batinah North Municipality, highlighted the meticulous preparations to accommodate the overwhelming turnout. "We have designated Eid market spaces across the governorate to facilitate the sale of livestock, sheep and other Eid essentials that define the spirit of the celebration," he stated.
The governorate’s wilayats are hosting Habtas in prominent locations. They are:
Suhar: Near the Eid prayer ground on Wadi Haibi Road
Saham: Central market
Al Khabourah: Sarhat area near the municipal slaughterhouse
Al Suwaiq: Two locations at Al Gharibah and Al Bidayah
Liwa: Wilayat’s market and Shinas in front of Shinas Fort
Beyond livestock and traditional Eid goods, these markets offer a range of festive essentials, including barbecue stalls and booths showcasing products from local entrepreneurs and productive families.
As the spirit of Eid fills the air, these vibrant bazaars continue to serve as a cherished tradition, blending commerce, culture and community to celebrate joy and togetherness. — ONA
