Muscat: The Ministry of Labor, represented by the Occupational Safety and Health Department, has announced the opening of applications for midday work permits. These permits are designated for establishments providing essential and public services in 2025.
The application window will begin on Sunday, April 6, 2025, and remain open until Thursday, May 22, 2025. This initiative aims to regulate work during peak heat hours while ensuring the continuity of critical services.
Businesses in sectors classified as essential must submit their requests within the specified period to obtain the necessary permits for midday operations. The Ministry emphasized compliance with occupational safety standards to protect workers during high-temperature conditions.
