

Muscat: The Al Dakhiliyah Governorate has invited tender for the implementation of the first phase of the Jebel Shams Grand Canyon Project in the Wilayat of Al Hamra.
The first phase will include implementing site levels and preparing the land for construction works, road plans, and service networks, establishing reception and administration buildings, basic facilities, and public utilities.
The last date for purchasing documents is April 20, 202,5 and the last date to submit documents is May 27, 2025.
Jabel Shams 'Grand Canyon' Project in Al Hamra, spans 148,000 square meters with an investment value of RO7.7 million. The master plan encompasses several key features, including a recreational area, a glass walkway, a tourist resort, a zipline, and a hiking trail. It will include geological exhibitions, a rock garden, and an adventure center.
Additionally, the project will see the establishment of a coffee farm, fruit orchards, a summer camp, and a garden for seasonal activities. Kiosks selling seasonal products, a theatre of 500 seating capacity, and an information center will also be developed.
Situated at an altitude of 3,000m above sea level, covering an area of 148,000 sqm, the project will offer a recreational area that will offer children’s games, creative workshops, and a 200m zip line offering tourists an exhilarating blend of adventure and exploration.
A 97m long and 2.5m wide glass walkway will offer visitors a sensation of floating in the air, and 12 kiosks in a public square will offer a variety of local products, including fresh fruits, vegetables, traditional sweets, and souvenirs.
