The number of visitors to the Dimaniyat Islands Nature Reserve, including its nine main islands, was 96,625, compared to 71,263 in 2023.
Engineer Salem bin Saeed al Maskari, Director of the Environment Department in South Al Batinah Governorate, said that the total area of the reserve is 203 square kilometres, including the land and the surrounding marine area.

The Environment Authority has allocated the islands of Jabal Al Kabir and Lajoon for overnight and camping for visitors between November and the end of April.
The Environment Authority will activate the reserve's visitor center and install interactive screens to spread environmental awareness and make the reserve a magnet for students in various environmental fields and marine sciences in 2025.

Dimaniyat Islands contain the Underwater Military Equipment Museum, which was opened last year, 2024, to improve biodiversity in the reserve and support ecotourism by creating a unique and innovative tourist attraction for tourists and diving enthusiasts, supporting the tourism movement. It is also the first of its kind in the Sultanate of Oman, contributing to the rehabilitation and increase of coral reef areas compensating for those lost due to natural and human impacts, and creating a new ecosystem that rivals natural coral reefs, as this museum is expected to contribute to attracting many marine creatures of various sizes.
