Muscat: The Majlis A'Shura is hosting the Minister of Heritage and Tourism to discuss the ministry's statement on six main topics, including policies, plans, and programs; overall tourism development indicators; heritage sector management; tourism sector management; human resources in the heritage and tourism sectors; and areas of coordination and development and investment prospects.

In response to a question on the development of tourism in Masirah Island, the minister said, "There are lands available for investment and use in Masirah, and dozens of investors from Russia, Egypt, and the Gulf states have been welcomed. We need to develop the airport and other facilities and on this basis, investments will be attracted and necessary exemptions will be provided. A special office will be established to promote Masirah, and there is a directive to ensure basic services are provided on the island before entering into any partnerships or investments."
