Muscat: The Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion (MOCIIP) has announced that the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries will impose anti-dumping duties on imports of electrical connectors, switches, and plugs for voltages not exceeding 1,000 volts, originating in or exported from the Republic of China.

These products fall under the customs tariff codes (853669, 853650, 85444291, 85444221).

The duties will take effect from June 8, 2025, for five years, under the details outlined in the decision published in Issue No. (47) of the Official Gazette of the Technical Secretariat for Anti-Injurious Practices.

The Gazette is available on the website of the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) at www.gcc-sg.org.

The decision to impose these duties is based on a complaint filed by the Gulf industry under the Unified Law (Regulation) on Anti-Dumping, Countervailing, and Safeguard
