Muscat: The Majlis A'Shura hosted the Minister of Heritage and Tourism to discuss the ministry's statement on six main topics, including policies, plans, and programs; overall tourism development indicators; heritage sector management; tourism sector management; human resources in the heritage and tourism sectors; and areas of coordination and development and investment prospects.
The minister, Salim al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism, March 24, during the session, discussed the priorities of Oman Vision 2040, an analysis of the tourism sector during the current five-year plan, the expected growth in the next five-year plan, and the Ministry's role in maximizing partnerships with small and medium-sized enterprises in the heritage and tourism sectors.
