SOHAR: The Directorate of Endowments and Religious Affairs in Al Batinah North Governorate continues its implementation of the Al Rayyan Ramadhan Project, a comprehensive initiative designed to enrich the spiritual atmosphere during the holy month. The project offers a diverse programme catering to various segments of society, fostering religious awareness, social cohesion and charitable engagement.

Khalid bin Abdullah al Hosni, Director of the Endowments and Religious Affairs Department in Al Batinah North Governorate, emphasised that the initiative seeks to promote positive integration between institutions and the community. It also aims to uphold humanitarian and Islamic values, reinforce social responsibility, and encourage voluntary charitable efforts, all while preserving Oman’s rich Islamic traditions.

The Al Rayyan Ramadhan Project features a wide range of activities, including religious evenings that blend education and inspiration, Quranic study circles focused on recitation, intonation and deeper understanding of verses, as well as Ramadhan gatherings that strengthen communal ties. Additionally, the project organises lectures and lessons highlighting Islamic principles and their relevance to daily life.

Al Hosni further noted that Al Rayyan is part of the Rakeza Initiative, recently launched to promote national identity and balanced thinking. This initiative includes intellectual programmes addressing key themes of national identity, alongside educational and recreational activities aimed at instilling core values. Moreover, it activates the role of mosques and the local community in spreading religious awareness and moral teachings. — ONA
