MUSCAT: Renowned plastic surgeon and former head of plastic surgery services in Oman, Dr Chona Thomas, was awarded the prestigious TMC Lifetime Achievement Award by the Trivandrum Medical College Alumni Association (TMCAA) during its Platinum Jubilee Convention in Thiruvananthapuram.
The award was conferred on March 9 by Kerala State Chief Secretary Sarada Muraleedharan, IAS, in recognition of Dr Thomas’ outstanding contributions to healthcare, social development and medical mentorship.
Currently serving at Aster Royal Al Raffa Hospital, Muscat, Dr Thomas was honoured for his pioneering work in plastic surgery, his commitment to medical excellence and his role in mentoring future generations of healthcare professionals.
At the convention, Dr Thomas also delivered a presentation on the modern management of cleft lip noses, sharing insights from his extensive expertise in the field.
