AL RUSTAQ: The implementation rate at Wadi Al Maawil Market project has crossed 90 per cent and 70 per cent at the Al Awabi Market. The two projects are part of the government’s ongoing efforts to improve services, achieve sustainable development and boost the national economy.

In the Wilayat of Al Awabi, a commercial market project extending over an area of 1,200 square metres, comprising 16 shops, is underway. The project, with a total investment of RO 200,000, aims to provide a modern commercial centre to stimulate commercial and social activity in the wilayat.

In the Wilayat of Wadi Al Maawil, work is in progress to construct a commercial market spanning an area of 1,800 square metres, with 27 shops at a cost of RO 300,000. The project contributes to developing the urban landscape and strengthening the trade and tourism sectors in the wilayat. The project has achieved significant progress with 92 per cent already completed. Once operational, the market will stir commercial activities and provide an integrated business environment.

Both markets include cafes, mosques, parking lots, open seating areas and green spaces providing an integrated environment that meets shoppers’ needs and offers a comfortable and modern shopping experience.

These projects reflect the continued efforts made by the Al Batinah South Governorate to develop commercial markets and are expected to stimulate commercial activity and create new investment opportunities. — ONA
