MUSCAT, MARCH 15

In a significant move to enhance the professional development of Omani educators, Ahmad bin Majid International School (ABM) and Majan Institute have formalised a partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aimed at improving the qualifications of local teachers for Cambridge programmes.

This groundbreaking initiative is set to elevate the quality of education in Oman by equipping local teachers with globally recognised teaching credentials, ensuring that they are well-prepared to deliver world-class education.

As part of the collaboration, Omani teachers will undergo professional training at ABM, which has maintained a close relationship with Cambridge since 2006. Experienced ABM mentors, under the guidance of Cambridge Assessment International Education, will provide these educators with the expertise needed to excel. With oversight from Majan Institute, this programme ensures that participating teachers receive high-quality professional development aligned with international standards.

Cambridge Assessment International Education, a globally respected leader in academic qualifications, is recognised by top universities and employers worldwide. Through their Cambridge Professional Development Qualifications (Cambridge PDQs), teachers will enhance their instructional skills, transforming their professional learning experience and improving student learning outcomes.

The integration of Cambridge PDQs into this initiative offers Omani teachers valuable international certification and professional advancement opportunities. This underscores Oman’s dedication to fostering educational excellence in line with global standards.

The Cambridge PDQs are renowned for their positive impact on educational quality, supporting professional growth through school-based development, enhancing teaching practices and setting international benchmarks for professional learning.
