The Oman national football team will take on Sudan in an international friendly match on Thursday night. The match will take place at Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex and will kick off at 22:00. This preparatory encounter will be the final test for Red Warriors ahead of AFC Asian Qualifiers scheduled encounters against South Korea and Kuwait on March 20 and 25 respectively for Group B of the World Qualifiers — Road to 26.
Oman head coach Rasheed Jaber will test many players who were called up for the Red Warriors squad including the new and young faces. The current domestic preparatory camp included 24 players and this match will be a suitable test for the coaching staff to finalise the starting line-up for the upcoming games. Furthermore, the warm-up match will act as a crucial chance for the head coach and his assisting team to implement different technical strategies and tactics.
The Red Warriors underwent a domestic camp during the last two weeks to raise up their readiness and reach to perfect shape prior the upcoming international matches. The Seeb players missed part of the camp due to the team’s participation at 2024-25 AFC Challenge League. On the other hand, Sudan team arrived in Oman on Tuesday night and commenced their training sessions in Muscat during the last two nights.
