Seeb in must-win against Kuwait's Al Arabi

Hosts Seeb will look for a win at the second leg tie of quarters at 2024/2025 AFC Challenge League as they will take on Kuwait’s Al Arabia on Wednesday night. The match will kick off at 10:00 pm at Seeb Stadium. The first leg match in Kuwait ended for Al Arabi as Bandar al Salamah’s winning goal in the dying minutes delivered Al Arabi better advantage ahead of the return match. The star of the last game, Al Salamah, will be missed in today’s game as he received two yellow cards and followed by a red card as he was sent off following the goal.

Seeb will need to win at least with two goals difference to ensure moving to the semis while the visitors will play with two chances including the draw and triumph due to their crucial victory last week in home match game.

Seeb head coach Nikola Djurovic may change in the playing style in today’s clash as Amjad al Harthy will be back in defending area while Eid al Farsi will be missed due to injury beside Jameel al Yahmadi. The head coach and his assistant team will depend on Abdulrahman al Mushefri, the national team striker, beside the experienced attacker Abdulaziz al Maqbali, Mohammed al Musallami, Ahmed al Khamisi, Ali al Busaidi and the rest of the team members. In the last training sessions, coach Djurovic focused a lot in the attacking area beside instructing the players to snatch the scoring attempts and avoid missing any opportunities.

Seeb had managed to show in the Group Stage that they are a force to be reckoned with when playing at home winning all three matches without conceding a goal. Furthermore, the board directors of Seeb club purchased all the match tickets and distributed for free for the team’s spectators to ensure proper support for the country’s representative in the AFC Challenge League. Seeb fans committee will play a vital role in today’s game as they win with more than one goal will move Seeb to the forthcoming round of the Asian prestigious event. The winners of this match will face the winners between East Bengal of India against FC Arkadag in the semifinal.
