MoE to release GED exam results today

Muscat: The Ministry of Education (MoE) is set to release the results of the General Education Diploma (GED) exams for the first semester of the 2024/2025 academic year today at 4:00 pm . Students will be able to access their results via SMS through Omantel, Ooredoo, and Vodafone by sending their seat number to 90200. The results will also be available later on the Oman Educational Portal.


Dr. Madiha Ahmed al Shaibani, Minister of Education, approved the general indicators of the results last Thursday, revealing an overall success rate of 80.76% for public school students.


Earlier figures highlighted the performance of various categories of students:


General Education Diploma for Private Schools (Bilingual): 1,577 students sat for the exams, achieving an impressive 91.05% pass rate.


Royal Guard of Oman Technical College (Bilingual): All 43 students who took the exam passed, recording a 100% success rate.


GED for Islamic Studies: A total of 121 students sat for the exams, with a perfect pass rate of 100%.


Special Education: 61 students participated, achieving a pass rate of 88.52%.


Vocational and Technical General Education Diploma: 138 students took the exams, with a success rate of 99.27%.


With the results set to be available this evening, students across different educational tracks eagerly await their scores.
