Oman concludes participation at the Berlin Tourism Exchange

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman concluded its participation in the Berlin International Tourism Exchange 2025 and witnessed a large turnout of visitors to its pavilion.


The tourism partners held a series of bilateral meetings and meetings with their counterparts from international companies to discuss mechanisms for implementing joint programs that contribute to attracting different global markets to the Sultanate of Oman.


Saada bint Abdullah al Harthy, Director of the Market Development Department at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, said that the close cooperation between the ministry and partners in the tourism sector contributes to creating an attractive environment for developing businesses and empowering tourism companies and hotel establishments.


She added that the scheduled flights between the Sultanate of Oman and Switzerland were recently launched by Edelweiss Airlines to operate weekly flights between Zurich and Salalah via Muscat International Airport.


Salem bin Hilal a -Shikaili, senior director of airline development at Oman Airports, spoke about developing an integrated infrastructure that contributes to enhancing the position of the Sultanate of Oman as a distinguished tourist and commercial destination.


During the the exhibition, agreements were signed and partnership programs were launched between the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism and tourism authorities and institutions from various countries, which aim to provide joint tourism packages, exchange knowledge and expertise, and implement programs that contribute to the permanent and continuous tourist flow.
