CDAA urges caution while using cooking gas

Muscat: The Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) has urged users to take precautions while using cooking gas cylinders as they are a source of danger to prevent risks.

CDAA has several guidelines for the safe use of gas cylinders, which include closing the gas cylinder valve immediately after finishing cooking, using connections approved by the authority, place the gas cylinder outside the kitchen in a shaded, well-ventilated place, avoiding flammable materials near the gas cylinder, make sure to perform periodic maintenance on gas connections from approved companies.
