

AL BURAIMI: Acting in cooperation with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources has floated 21 new investment opportunities in Al Buraimi Governorate, through 'Tatweer' platform, for the utilisation of land areas totalling 659.4 acres.
The opportunities range between agricultural projects, livestock production units and water bottling units. The overall aim is to support food security and enhance investment in the agricultural sector in Oman.
The opportunities also include projects for the cultivation of crops like date palm trees and date production units in the wilayats of Mahadha and Al Buraimi. The areas allocated for these projects range between 12.6 and 64.6 acres each. Larger areas have been allocated for the cultivation of potatoes in the areas of Safwan, Al Madam Plain and Al Qabil. In addition, farming areas totalling 100 acres have been allocated for planting onions in Safwan and Al Qabil. - ONA
