Muscat - Oman Air has signed a new agreement with Mazoon Dairy to be the supplier of dairy products, including milk, yoghurt, laban, and cheese.

During the signing ceremony, Captain Nasser al Salmi, Oman Air’s Chief Operating Officer, said, “As part of our commitment to In-Country Value (ICV), we are proud to

support Oman’s food industry and contribute to Mazoon Dairy’s mission to enhance local self-sufficiency. This partnership underscores our dedication to procuring locally

made products and strengthening domestic suppliers, ensuring that we continue to provide our guests with the highest quality food and beverages sourced from within

Oman.”

Ali Al-Buali, CEO, said, “This agreement represents a milestone in our growth journey, expanding our reach on a global scale while supporting our broader vision for national economic development. Today, we offer a diverse range of high-quality products, adhering to the highest industry standards and best practices. We

look forward to meeting the expectations of the national carrier by delivering premium dairy products on board.”

The initiative is part of Oman Air’s broader strategy to contribute to ICV by prioritising local sourcing and fostering partnerships with homegrown businesses. In 2024 the

airline collaborated with 323 local Omani companies, including 44 SMEs.

Meanwhile, through its Vendor Development Programme, Oman Air supports SMEs in improving their capabilities, contractual performance, and product development. Once onboarding, the airline helps them to scale their products and measure their performance, with the goal of a long-term contract.
