

Muscat: Dr Madeeha bint Ahmed al Shaibaniyah, Minister of Education, affirmed that education in the Sultanate of Oman receives great attention and close follow-up from His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and that the education system has witnessed a remarkable development in alignment with the priorities of the Oman Vision 2040 which focuses on developing 21st century skills and enhancing creativity and scientific innovation.
Speaking on the occasion of the Omani Teacher's Day, the Minister of Education congratulated teachers in recognition of their sincere efforts to carry out their lofty educational message, appreciating their role in raising students in a sound manner and preparing them for a better and brighter future.

The minister praised the sincere efforts being made by teachers in raising the academic standard of our students and to ensure the quality of education.
The minister added: “Your responsibility today has become greater than ever before. The world is changing, knowledge is renewed, and artificial intelligence applications, as much as they have facilitated access to information, have at the same time created great challenges as education is required to nurture critical thinking and develop creativity skills and the active participation in developing the society. Accordingly, the Ministry of Education is keen to enable you to perform your educational mission effectively by providing qualitative training programmes that enhance your capabilities and give you the skills and knowledge necessary to keep pace with global changes and advancements in all fields.”
