The exhibition provided an excellent opportunity to promote investment opportunities in the food sector across all industrial cities under Madayn, with a special focus on Al

Suwaiq Industrial City,” Al Balushi said, adding: “Al Suwaiq Industrial City will officially begin accepting investment applications next week. The food sector is one of the key

targeted sectors for this industrial city, given its strategic location between local and regional markets. Its proximity to the Sea of Oman and Port Suwaiq enhances its

connectivity, which will add significant value to the industrial city by leveraging the Sultanate’s maritime transport and logistics,” he added.

He further noted that Madayn had previously awarded the consultancy services tender for the design and supervision of Al Suwaiq Industrial City’s establishment. The selected

company has already commenced the implementation of the project, and work is underway to prepare and finalize the tender for Phase 1 construction, which will be

announced to contractors in the coming period.

It is worthwhile to mention that Madayn, in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and

the SMEs Development Authority, expanded its participation at Gulfood 2025 to ensure a broader representation of Omani companies and factories. Notably, this year’s

Sultanate of Oman’s Pavilion at Gulfood featured dedicated free spaces for SMEs to engage with international buyers and showcase their products, reinforcing the crucial

role SMEs play in strengthening the Sultanate’s national economy.

With over 5,500 exhibitors from around the globe seeking partnerships, the Gulfood event provides unparalleled exposure opportunities for Omani companies. Through its

participation, Madayn aims to support the strategic objectives of the national ‘Made in Oman’ campaign, which focuses on promoting Omani products globally, expanding into
