MUSCAT: Oman LNG has signed a 10-year liquefied natural gas (LNG) sale and purchase agreement with Mercuria Energy Group, a leading Swiss-based energy trading firm. The deal covers the annual supply of 800,000 metric tonnes of LNG, with deliveries set to begin in April 2025.


This agreement aligns with Oman LNG’s strategy to ensure stable and sustainable energy exports while strengthening its position in the global LNG market.


Hamad bin Mohammed al Naamani, CEO of Oman LNG, emphasised that the partnership with Mercuria will expand the company’s market reach and reinforce its commitment to energy security and sustainability.


Marco Dunand, CEO of Mercuria Energy Group, stated that this deal supports Mercuria’s strategy to grow its LNG portfolio and meet the increasing global demand for natural gas.


Oman continues to solidify its status as a key LNG supplier, leveraging its strategic location and robust energy infrastructure. — ONA
